I've gotten a LOT of toys for my dog and he's just a tiny toy poodle! I have gotten stuffed toys, chew toys, rubber toys, toy bones, and even real bones! What would work for him???|||Kong's are great toys if your dog likes them. Mine never did. Here's where I get all my dog toys from.

They have the best toys and the rate them by a chew o meter. 5 being for the most agressive chewer. I have had their toys here for a few years and I have 2 big Goldens who are agressive chewers.
Take a look at their web site and see for your self.|||The "Kong" rubber toys are pretty sturdy, as are beef bones.
If the little guy is ripping up toys, watch him carefully around them to make sure he doesn't swallow bits of them.|||get round eye bones from the butcher, i have a pittbull, and she can't destroy them|||Kong's are the best things for dogs that chew everything...petco has new ones that come in all kinds of colors and they have the treats that you can put inside them for extra fun for your dog...|||There are toys out now made of fire hose. Give that a try. I feel your pain, my beagle destroys every toy within hours of receiving it!|||Harp is right. Kong is a great, durable toy. I have a black lab who destroyed a bone in 5 minutes flat. I got him a Kong last spring and ha still has it!|||The only thing my dag hasn't chewed to shreds in 10 seconds in a KONG. They make them in a bunch of different sizes for different size dogs.|||Kong toys are made especially for dogs like yours: you can get them at Petco, Petsmart, or at http://www.thatpetplace.com
you can give them the Kong toy as is or for added interest you can stuff the Kong toy with doggie treats or specially doggie cheese....they make them for big dogs and small dogs...I saw one for small dogs at Target for about $5
hope this helps...|||We have the exact same problem with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Get a KONG rubber toy. There's NO WAY that little guy will rip that thing apart. They have a lifetime guarantee. Put a little peanut butter (or anything else your pup loves to eat) inside and it'll keep him occupied for an hour. You can get all different sizes so make sure you get the appropriate one.
There's also some toys made of a fire-hose-type material. our little guy pulled it apart a bit but unlike ALL of his other toys that he's shredded/ingested, it's held up pretty well.|||Kong, my dog tears every toy we give so one day we gave him a kong and now 4 years later it's still intact he plays with it alot too.
What kong is: its a hard rubber beehive shaped toy .That can't be pierced easily by the dogs teeth. Good for teething puppies.|||The Kong is great, you can use it like a tennis ball (be careful indoors, it bounces around like crazy!). I also like to use it when i will be gone from the house for awhile by putting peanut butter inside of it. Your dog will love trying to get the peanut butter out, and probably won't miss you as much when you are gone.
I have a pit mix and I had the same problem...I found a great toy called the "earth ball." It is a ball about the size of a softball, half an inch of rubber crafted as a replica of the earth complete with continents (Africa and South America are chewed off mine...lol), it also has a minty taste for your pup and quickly became my dogs fave toy. It's held up for 8 months now, which besides Kong is a record. I posted a link below with a pic of it.

I just go to garge sales and buy him safe stuffed animals for 25 cents. It takes him the same ammount of time for him to kill them as the ones from the pet store. And it costs alot less.
