What do you do if your dog eats a squeaker from a toy?

What do you do if your dog eats a squeaker from a toy? HELP my dog just ate one and i dont know what to do!|||Avoid rubbing the tummy...SQUEAK,SQUEAK,SQUEAK!!|||I would watch the dog for any unusual behavior. Go out with your dog when it is time to do business outside. If his schedule seems to be off in any way, I would take him to the vet just to be sure everything is ok. If he is pooping and urinating as normal, I would just check to see if the squeaker comes out. If he hadn't passed it the first day I would take my dog in for x-rays.|||Call the vet.

Watch him VERY carefully for any digestive changes.

I had a dog who became ill, we couldn't figure out what the issue was, but he had recurring diarrhea and occassional vomiting or lack of interest in food. We kept taking him in to the vet, did x-rays and nothing showed up... and eventually did exploratory surgery and found 2 squeakers. Apparently they would turn in his intestine and allow some food/waste through.. then turn again and not allow anything past. His digestive tract has never been the same. $2500 surgery.

Good luck!|||what breed is your dog and how big is he. Quite rightly if he is a big dog just keep an eye on his poop and it should pass, if after 2 days you do not see it then take a trip to the vets. It is possible it can get obstructed. Keep an eye on your dog in the meantime, look for signs he is unwell.

For future reference, toys get confused with chews ok, toys are meant to be played with under supervision, thrown and rolled about etc in a game you play with your dog. Toys , most of them are never meant to be chews and should not be left with your dog unsupervised, Get your dog a rawhide chew or something similar that you can leave him unsupervised with to chew on. A chew is a chew and a toy is a toy.|||Watch him for at least the next day or few. If it gets stuck in his intestines it will be really bad, and he can die in a few days if you don't take him to the vet straight away to be put on a drip and have it removed. Watch for unusual behaviour and vomiting. I take the squeakers out of my dog's toys, they seem such a stupidly dangerous thing to put in something that is made to be ripped apart by a dog.|||Squeak his belly! He should be fine, dogs eat strange things all the time. Just call your local vet and they will tell you if you need to bring him in or not.|||take him to the vet i think a squeaker would be hard to crap out depending on the size of the dog

lol|||If your dog is a large breed, just watch his bm's it should come out in a day or two. If you dog is small or it hasn't come out after a day or two take him to the vet. Also no more squeaky toys for you.
