How are some ways to use the KONG puppy toy?

I just bought a KONG toy and paste for my puppy, but the directions aren't that great. Do you fill the KONG with paste? Do you put treats in it? I heard something about being able to freeze it with the paste? Im not sure, but i would love your answers! :D Thanks!|||For both my puppies I do the following with their Kongs: fill with water and freeze, fill with chicken broth and freeze, fill with peanut butter, stuff it with treats, stuff it with ice cubes, and sometimes I put treats inside the Kong and freeze peanut butter on either opening. Get creative!!! Hope this helps!|||My Jack Russell loves having his Kong filled with peanut butter and Pupperoni treats (broken up into small pieces). Any other sort of treat also enhances the treat so feel free to mix the treat and PB (or paste, if your dog is allergic to PB). Freezing it like the other answers above said is also a great idea, esp. on a hot day.|||Some great ideas are peanut butter smeared around the inside, or bits of cheese mixed in with kibble stuffed inside, or (as my trainer recommended) roast beef slices inside. Just remember not to make it too hard initially for your puppy to get to the treats. You can always increase the difficulty (i.e. by freezing or packing treats in tightly) once he gets the hang of it.|||My son's Rottweiler loves Kong toys. We fill them with treats. We found that the paste is kind of messy but you can also stick a treat into the paste. If you are going to use the paste or freeze the Kong then don't give it to him in the house. You can buy small treats or jerky and put bits of it in the Kong. Also, dogs LOVE peanut butter put in the Kong but you have to be sure your dog is not allergic to peanut butter first. Give him a tiny bit of peanut butter for a couple of days and watch him to be sure he is not allergic.

We play hide the Kong and it gives the dog some stimulus.|||You can put paste or treats in there or a combo.

You can freeze it so the paste hardens and itll take longer for your dog to finish it (which would entertain him/her longer).

You can fill it with spray cheese or peanut butter as well....dogs love those!|||well what you do is put the paste on the inside. but i would like to make a suggestion. Dogs don't like the paste as much as real food. So i suggest putting in peanut butter(dogs LOVE it) treats, and cheese. The paste is ok but not as tasty. Dogs like it if you freeze it also (makes for many hours of play) my dog loves kongs. good luck!
