I have a year old male black lab. I have been giving him raw hide bones to chew. However, I would like to give him something else because he makes short work of them and they tend to upset his stomach. I would like to give him something he can't destroy and swallow. What is your suggestion? What is your lab's/large dogs favorite toy?|||I would suggest the KONG. They have a ball shaped one that you can shove treats into - the dog will be soooo busy trying to get the treats out it will surely keep him busy for more than an hour - it'll keep his mind busy too. They are pretty much indestructible.
However, there are other kong toys that you can fill with peanut butter filling or cheese filling - but that just gives my dogs the runs - so i use the treat dispenser most often!

and ROPE TOys are excellent|||Go with the Kong, Labs are gluttens for food and attention, this will fill one of those needs. Fill it with the treats you can get for it of b$ bed smash some canned food in it and freeze it. It'll keep him busy awhile. Wal-mart also sells a basted beef leg bone. it keeps our lab busy a very long time. (Its about 8inches long) Rope toys and tennis balls. Our lab also likes to chew on plstic soda bottles
