What toy came out like 8 years ago where you could send text messages?

It was a little oval shaped electronic toy. Cant remember what it was called. (possibly link it's or somethig).


But you could send texts to someone if they had one (but it had to be within 2 miles or less).


What were the toys called? They were relatively cheap.|||Girls connect locket pals!|||why would you want one, if you don't know that means others don't have one which you can read off of, that's like asking for a broken phone, or a 2001 online game that was NOT popular at all but you want one so you'll be the only one playing other than the owners who ab banded the game. Most likely they don't make it i never seen one.
