Now before I had this dog, I had another Lab and the other dog was a good chewer, but if we gave him a toy like a Boodah Chew, it would take him a few hours to eat it all. But here is the thing, the old dog was a dog who would chew something until it was gone, but this dog will chew his toys in multiple sittings. He will eat Kong Toys with peanut butter in one sitting, but the problem is, this new dog is a genius. He knows how to open the doors of the house, he knows how to unscrew lids. Its rediculous.
So I was wondering if there is a rough dog Chew toy (Doesn't need to be reusable) that is good to keep a Lab busy and interested.|||A kong with a treat inside|||Never give a Lab rawhide..they cant digest it. Pig ears is much healthier for them , digestible %26amp; they love it. If you can find a small spare tire , that is something they can chew on last long, fun for them %26amp; patience..lots %26amp; lots of love %26amp; patience. No stuff toys not good for them.

|||try those chewy dog bones that helps alot|||with labs nothing is indestructable even if the manufaturer thinks it is. Only good chew I found is a natural bone to keep them busy for hours and on a hot day raw bones are even better frozen.
And come on I know labs are smart but they don't unscrew lids, chew them off maybe.
Plus with labs you have to keep their minds busy and with a younster all the more reason. A tired labbie is a good labbie.|||rawhide bones are good. make sure they have flavor though, or else the dog will get bored of it. also rubber squeaky toys will last and keep the dog occupied. the dog cant chew up the rubber either so it will last forever! thin plastic toys dont work cuz the dog will chew thru the plastic and eat it(doesnt hurt the dog though, goes right thru the digestive system).with tennis balls the dog will probably pull off and eat all the fuzz. fabric stuffed ones they also tear to pieces.
edit:sometimes they will have a favorite toy they get at a young age and will never chew up or tear to pieces.|||My goldens also like to chew and they love Nylabones, especially the "Y" shaped ones. We usually have 4-5 of them floating around the house at any one time for our two dogs. One of them will even carry 3 of them around at a time.|||My Labs have giant rawhide bones, nylon bones and durable rubber balls that have square cutouts, we put biscuits inside them if we're going out and they spend hours trying to get the biscuits.
I know what you mean about opening doors, I tie my doors shut to keep them out of the rooms I don't want them in. They're very naughty but also very funny !|||Try your local pet shops i cant remember the name of this but it looks like a tire they come in different sizes.I buy the largest ones for my two labs because they looove to chew bit these toys seem to keep them busy for atleast a week.|||Check out his place on line:

My golden's love their toys and their orbie ball is just great!|||I have a labmix and in 2 years we have yet to find a toy she cant tear up no matter how tough or indestructible they say it is. One thing that is pretty inexpensive and disposible--she loves those ropes with the big knots on the ends. They keep her busy for a long time-after she plays tug-o-war for a while with someone she will lay down and chew on them and untie the knots. Keeps her occupied for quite a while. Have to throw them out once she unties them or she will start trearing them apart and eating the strings.|||I had a 16 yr old White Lab named Tobi he used to get into everything. When he was 6 months old we got him started on Natural Pigs Ears we found at the Vet one day or you can find them at Pet Stores in your area. The bigger the ears, the longer he/she will take to eat them so keeps em busy for quite a while. So buy a lot of them!

I don't know the name, but see them in pet stores. She completely destroyed or ate everything else - this could be thrown to her, or she'd chew on it or walk around with it in her mouth. Your dog sounds really smart - probably very trainable. My brother's lab is smart too - she will lay down, roll over, shake hands %26amp; give high fives, crawl on her belly, etc. (He just can't get her to stop racing toward people %26amp; jumping on them yet - she loves everybody, but she weighs 90 lbs. so its a bit much to take when she lunges for you!)|||Try your local pet store and ask for the undestructible chew toy - it bounces, you can put treants in it to keep their interest and he will LOVE it.
