What easy homeade toy can i make for my new kitten?

im getting my new kitten in a few minutes and i havnt got it any toys yet! what homeade toy can i make??? dont ask me why i havnt got any toys for it yet! my uncle is comming round with the kitten because it desperatly needs a home and we didnt know we were getting it till about 1 hour ago! we are borrowing our next door neighbours old cat things but she has sold all her kitten toys!|||Hi!

Please don't use anything with string - my poor kitty had to have emergency surgery to remove string that he had swallowed and was all wrapped up in his intestines. Luckily he survived.

Kittens will play woth ANYTHING! Try a laser penlight, crumpled newspaper balls just about anything really, just nothing with string!|||a shoe string tied to a chair. a milk bottle cap. a feather from a feather duster. your arm (they chew :)). a small bouncy ball. a wad of paper. most likely though youre not gonna need to worry about this for a couple days though. a new baby is going to be busy scoping out your house, eating, %26amp; sleeping|||Try a simple shoe string, or a box. Some cats are acostomed to stings (ie. mouse tail) and the box is somewhere to explore and to hide for maybe a sneak attack :). Either that or a rattle? Maybe even a flashlight, laserpointer, rubberband.|||my cat is in love with plasic stuff and paper you can just get a piece of paper roll it up into a ball shape and just throw it and she will go crazy around it :P|||Scrunch up a piece of paper into a ball shape, my cat has lots of toys, but always plays with this. A

long piece of wool or string to chase|||Baking foil screwed up into a ball, they love balls. Do not give your kitten wool to play with this can choke kittens and cats.

( cat owner %26amp; Student Veterinary Nurse )|||thread some string through the card left ofer from a finished toilet paper roll. fro extra effect yuo can even draw eyes on it.|||Yarn, but it's messy. :)|||get a cotton reel and some string or anything you can tie the string to.

Thread string through cotton reel and then tie it off at the reel end.

Then tie string to the back of a chair so its dangling down and can swing freely. Don't hang it too low as your kitten will jump at it if you push it to make it swing.

You could also just have a decent length of string put one end by the kitten and hold the other end. Then pull string back towards you in little jerks and the kitten should pounce on it.

Go to bed and get under duvet, with kitten on top of duvet wiggle hands or feet again in quick movement and the kitten will pounce.

Our Cat when we got it at 6 months also likes little balls about ping pong ball size with a rattle or bell in it. Still plays with these sometimes now.

You also need to get a scratching post to save the furniture.

Enjoy the kitten.

Be prepared for Birds and Feathers, worms, slow worms and even mice that have all been chewed and eaten but a few remnants remain. Also put down paper for its toilet until it is trained to go outside. You may also want to consider a cat flap or you will get woken every time the kitten wishes to go outside.

Get a good book on kittens from the library or just go and read it there. It doesn't need to be a big book, just a small thin one will do to give you all the basics.

Water not milk because milk has lactose and a young kitten will have problems with it. Cats are also not supposed to have milk as they cannot process lactose. However Cats and Kittens in the 70's and 80's have always been given milk and they still lived to around 16 years for a good one.
