What chemical reactants would you use to propel a toy train on a wooden track for a distance of 1 meter. What apparatus would be involved?|||as long as the train is light enough just use baking soda and vinagar as for the assembly pour water in a bottle with baking soda and poke a small hole in the top but if you want it to be a one step process fill the bottle with baking soda then get a syringe full of water and stab it through the cap when you want it to start the reaction is
NaHCO3 + HC2H3O2 ---%26gt; NaC2H3O2 + H2O + CO2

How can I remove a toy car from my toilet pipes?
I have a 2 year-old locksmith who is completely fascinated by the workings of our toilet. This is the fourth time he has done this and we can't keep the kid behind a locked, childproofed door.Maintenance refused to help this time. I've snaked 3 pair of panties, half our toiletries, and 2 toy cars (approx. 3"x 2") My assumption is this is what is behind the problem. They are plastic, so I'm hoping a solvent may be used without harming the plumbing please help!|||I feel for you, mobby dick ended up in ours. Finally my husband gave up after days of everything you did and more. He ended up taking the toilet out and he still gets angry when he thinks of it. We found mobby stuck in there after taking it out into the yard and pulling it out with a home made tool he made to pull it out.My husband is a fabricator. Anyway, something just will not come out and there doesn't seem to be anything that will break it down. So you may want to think about pulling it out , but make sure you have a wax seal to replace the one you will break taking it out. Good luck.|||Solvents should not be put in the commode or any septic system, nor should any drain cleaner be put in a commode. The drain cleaner can actually crack the commode due to the heat produced. The toy is probably stuck in the bend (trap) of the commode. Even if you remove the commode to look for the toy sometimes they can't be seen to be removed. Sounds like some discipline is in order as these mishaps can get expensive.|||Robert, If the toy actually got flushed down the toilet and it's not stuck in the toilet itself, there is nothing you are going to be able to do unless, it ends up causing a blockage in the sewer line in which case, the line will have to be snaked. Good luck
How do I get my stubborn dog to bring me back his toy after I throw it?
Every time I throw the toy, he gets it and I have to chase him to get it. I say bring it here and he just runs away again. I really need help, so if you have any Answers I'd be happy.|||The easiest ways are to
a) have a treat waiting at the other end or another toy which you can swap with the one he has or
b) put him on a lead and run him up to the toy, get him to pick it up, then run backwards calling his name and make him come right up to you and sit.
Some dogs really prefer the chase game to the whole fetch and return game! In a way he's trained you to play the game his way. And yep, I've been there too!!|||give him a treat he loves, when he brings it back... worked with my dogs|||zzzzzzzzzzzz|||Tie a string to it! That way you can pull it back to you and try it again. Not to brag, but if I can teach a cat to fetch, you most certainly can teach your dog!! Have patience and just enjoy the time spent with him/her!!|||You have now taught him that the "chasing" him is the fun part. Sit quietly with te treat %26amp; he'll come to you.|||have a treat ready for him|||I like dogs... ok now on the topic. get treats and when u throw the toy, hold the little treat in ur hand and when he/she comes, give it to him/her then gentaly give him/her a snuggle.

How do I get my toy poodle to stop peeing on the floor in the house?
We have a 4 year old toy poodle thats totally healthy. We got him about a month and a half ago and he constantly pees all over the house ! We take him out regularly but it still happens. He has a kennnel but he doesnt pee in there unfortunately.|||The best thing a dog owner can do is buy 3 books one
1) on vet med
2) on training
3) on the breed you have
This is your best help.
You will get a lot of wrong answers here-but some are good|||put mouse traps in his favorite spots to pee in the house. He will be begging you to go outside.|||Is he peeing in the house, or is he marking the house?
Is he neutered? You should take him in and get him checked for an infection, it's possible that he just can't hold it.
If he is marking the house, then you need to clean the spots very well, and correct him when he goes to lift his leg. You can tell when they are going to do it if you watch closely and tell him NO when he starts and put him outside.|||Around 10 minutes after he eats and/or drinks, take him outside and play with him. Runnung around will make him have to go to the bathroom. If you do this daily, he will get used to it and it will make it much easier for you. Hope this helps!!!|||dogs are NOT supposed to pee in their crates.. so that is good,,,he needs to be housebroken,,, search Yahoo answers ,,, housebreaking has been covered a least a thousand times.

Is it possible to train a chicken or rooster to play a toy piano?
I just caught an early episode of "The Golden Girls," and Rose (Betty White) had a rooster that played "Old McDonald had a farm" on a little toy piano.
Does anyone know how a chicken (or rooster) can be taught to play a piano?|||CGI is a wonderful thing|||on " The golden Girls" they have a way of making it seem that it is lplayin the piano. no it is not possible, sorry.|||My opinion is someone was really bored. I believe there was seed on the keys making the bird peck.
This may have been a rescue bird ( I hope) I hope they did not take this chicken out of its natural enviroment to train it to spend its life entertaining people. If they starved the chicken then gave it a piano with seeds on it, I am sure it would have pecked anything. So would you or I if we were hungry enough.
Some birds are easily trained to talk or sing. Chickens are not one of those birds.|||if its possible that u can ask such question y ant those chickens and roosters play a toy piano but on one condition u hav to teach them|||impossible is nothing :)|||The answer is YES. Birds are not as stupid as people think. You should look into the research of famous behaviorist psychologist B.F. Skinner and the birds he taught. In fact most animals are taught by positive reinforcement such as described in Skinner's research. So for all you people who said that chickens CANT be trained, stick to what you know, because you sure dont know about chickens. ;) On a side note Roosters may be more difficult to train as they are very independent and protective of Hens. A rooster will often stand guard and let his hens eat first before he himself will eat. How many guys you know who do that? ;)|||That is how it is done. you can't see it but a piece of corn or something the cock likes is deposited on each note by a cam and crank. motor these days. The bird brain just eats the tidbit.
Yes I have seen this and many other things.|||Yes it can be done. Knott's Berry Farm amusment park used to have severa. You put in a quarter a light bulb came on to cue thew chicken and it played the tune. When it was done it was given feed. They are trained one note at a time. They learn a note , get a seed. Gradually the have to play all the notes to get fed.
I believe Knotts quit having them because some people thought the chickens were exploited. I don't see anything wrong with traing the birds, I don't see how it was cruel at all. Besides playing piano is better than fried.|||You've no "clucking chance" :)
More chance of it whistling Dixie :)|||You won't be able to get it to play anything tuneful, but given some encouragement, you might be able to get it to peck.
I found this - a chicken pecking on command
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-HhHVu3I鈥?/a>|||Yep - get a little old lady farmer who has raised chickens for eggs all her life. They can teach a chicken anything.|||u cud put seed on the piano and the bird might peck it and play a note

How many baby teeth do toy poodles lose?
My tiny toy poodle is 5 months old and I found her playing with one of her teeth that fell out! How many do they usually lose and how do you make sure they won't choke on them?|||They lose all of them. Most they simply swallow. It's perfectly okay, nothing to worry about.|||Puppies normally start to loose their baby teeth at 4-6 months. If they don't fall out and the adult teeth starts to grow, it could grow in crooked. Also they'll start to get bad breath if the baby teeth are left in too long. As the body will cut off nutrients to the baby teeth (to focus on the perminant teeth) and the baby teeth will start to decay.
One of my dogs had one baby teeth left at 1 year old, it started to decay and finally broke off on it own the week before his appointment to have it removed.|||Well, they should lose all of them (helpful, I know lol),
But they usually swallow them, so don't be too worried. If you find them, pick them up, but otherwise, don't worry about it.|||they will lose all their baby teeth, it's a natural occurrence and even if they swallow them they will go through..................|||What a stupid question!

How do I go about getting a prototype created for an electonic toy idea?
I have an idea for an electronic toy. I would like to create a prototype -- it would involve basic circuitry design / programming, LCD screen, etc. Where do I begin?|||If you want someone else to build it, you could probably hire an engineering consultant to do it. It'd take some internet searching and phone calls to find the right kind of engineer, and then you'd probably be talking about a 80 to 240 hour project at $50 per hour (in the US), plus materials. You might be able to find an engineer internationally (e.g. in India) on the internet to do it much cheaper.
A cheaper but riskier/slower alternative would be to find a hobbyist to build it, by posting on an online electronics hobbyist forum, etc.
The comment that you have to build it before you can patent it is absolutely incorrect. The requirement for a 'reduction to practice' in a patent can be fulfilled by merely describing in words how to build one, to a level of detail sufficient that someone skilled in the field could build it based on your description. Your patent could then use phrases like, "use a microcontroller to display messages on a LCD screeen", etc. You can file a provisional patent at very little cost as a placeholder for 18 months until you determine if it's worth the expense of a full patent.|||Thank you billc1121 for that information.
|||You have to create a working model before you can patent it! But my suggestion is to take it to someone you can trust, preferably in electronics. Make sure they can keep their mouths shut, and they can create a working prototype. Then file a patent quickly.|||get a patent on the idea, then talk to an engineer...electronics..|||I would suggest drawing out circuit diagrams (there are some good free cad programs on the net you should use) and breadboarding everything to test. If you have no clue how to build the circuits, then start looking at other peoples designs and find some good books. It really depends on how complicated everything is and how much time you want to put into your idea.
